There are two emulators for the N900, specifically DrNokSnes (SNES) and iNES (NES). To download these two apps you need to add a new Catalog.
1.Go to Application Manager and go into options and choose Application catalogs.
2.Choose New and fill in the following info:
Catalog name: Maemo Nintendo Emulators
Web address: http://b-man.xceleo.org/repo/maemo-nintendo-emulators/
Distribution: fremantle
Components: main
3.Save the catalog, update and now these two applications should appear.
4. We can’t give you the ROMS but if you look around the web you should be able to find tons of NES and SNES ROMS.
Works amazingly well on the N900, with good audio and fast frame rates. When multi-tasking the N900 was even able to keep a live preview going of the game that I forgot to pause.

what format should be the roms in *.zip or unpacked ?
Eli,
you’ll need an .smc file.
Since this is such a touchy subject on maemo.org, I will ask here. Is there anyway to remap the iNES buttons on the keypad?
Thanks
Bronze Tank,
yes you can remap the keys. go into the menu on top.
Thanks. I’m glad that it is possible. Maybe I need a little hand holding because I have tried all the menu options and can’t seem to find one that works, or at least it is not intuitive enough for me to figure it out. My guess is that it is under the “Configuration” menu button, under “input options” but nothing I do seems to work.
Just to be clear, currently I am only testing the iNES emulator, I haven’t moved on to the SNES one yet.
Hi,
I downloaded the file as stated but cannot seem to find it anywhere, where abouts should i be looking for the SNES application?
Cheers
