The Nokia CP-321 is the official Nokia case for the N900 and is a good example of a typical, contemporary Nokia case: no belt clip, device is held horizontally, high quality, simple design, cloth Nokia label and fairly high price. In fact, describing the N900’s CP-321 case is like describing the N97’s CP-323 (which we reviewed here). Other than the somewhat different dimensions, governed by the devices they were made for, the two look almost identical, but there are two obvious differences.
The CP-321 is made of leather, while the CP-323 uses a cloth material. This gives the N97+ CP-323 combo a very casual laid back look, while the CP-321+ N900 feels a bit more upscale and has a very uniform look. Another difference is that the CP-321 is available in Black or White instead of the Black or Grey for the N97 case. What seems a bit strange is that Nokia offers the CP-321 in two colors: Black or White. This makes sense for the N97 as it’s being offered in two colors. But what’s odd is that the same is being done for the N900, a device that’s currently only being sold in Black. As far as we know there’s no White N900 in the works.

The CP-321 is an all-Black case made out of real leather and looks extremely good with the N900. Those looking for a belt loop or case should look elsewhere as the CP-321 lacks any of these features. It was designed strictly to carry the N900 (in hand, purse, pocket) and protect it from being scratched or small drops. Although the camera button, IR port and volume rocker are accessible, there’s no camera opening, no access to the 3.5mm audio jack, can’t be charge when in the case and the device can not be used with with the case on like those from other manufacturers. When they say that this case is strictly for carrying, they really mean it. Strangely you can take out the Stylus with the device in the case. Personally I really like the simple design and look of the CP-321, but it’s not for everyone. Especially those that like to access and like those “always-on” models should continue their quest for another N900 case.
I don’t see it as a negative point that you’re unable to take pictures or use the N900 with the case on, as the case was clearly made with simplicity and style in mind, but they should have at least left essential openings for the microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
Its all-Black design, Black Nokia tag and Black stitching make for a very stylish acessory. Rarely does case complement a device, feeling almost feel like an afterthought. When it comes to the CP-321 it beautifully matches N900 and even makes the N900 look a lot smaller than it really is. On the inside it has a grey soft material that helps in preventing scratches. Nokia explains that they used this material “to help keep your display clean.” The idea behind this is that it’s supposed to wipe the screen when you put the N900 inside its case. With a few finger smudges on the screen, the case didn’t help to clean the screen. It did help to protect the device and screen, which is everything I want and expect from a case. In that area I’m also happy with this case. I can do the cleaning myself. The CP-321 thoughtfully has a cut-out the top that neatly shows a piece of the N900 and the “N900” name, almost boasting that Unlike the N97 + CP-323, the CP-321 fits the N900 perfectly, without being too tight.
Conclusion
The N900 was designed with simplicity and style, lacking any way to access many features and buttons. The CP-321 looks extremely good, beautifully complementing the N900 design, in some cases making the device look a lot smaller. We like small details like the soft lining on the inside of the case, the Nokia cloth tag, but we miss such essentials like the ability to access the microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack. Those looking for a simple but beautiful case to protect the N900 should seriously consider the CP-321. Easily one of the best cases for the N900 and Highly recommend by The Nokia Guide.
Pros
-Hgh-end and simple look
-Leather
-Stylish
-Does a great job in protecting the N900
-Makes the N900 look smaller
Cons
-No access to microUSB and 3.5mm headphone jack

looks good! does it fit in ur pocket?
Mark, it fits tight to the N900, so its dimensions are similar to the N900. Since the N900 no so pockatable, having th case on won’t help much.
I hope they release this in the USA
Blip, just order it online and have them send it to you in the states…easy
y doesnt this phn have message folders like othr nokia phns..or does it?n how to stop the screen rotation…plsssss help!!!!!!
I don’t like how exposed one side of the device is (at the case opening) and on the corners. I had a similar case made by Nokia for an N95 and after a year there were scuff all over where the phone was exposed. With something like this i’ll be looking better protection! – and to be able to charge while in the case duh!
