When several applications are open you can press  to open the dashboard to view all open apps and notifications.

In some applications like the browser, you have to exit full screen to switch among open applications. Mark, from The Nokia Blog has shown how to use the Camera key to switch among apps using Camkeyd.

Camkeyd is currently available in the Extras Development repository, which could be risky. If you would like to play it safe, you could always press “ctrl+ Backspace key” to get to the dashboard.
