We’ve all been there: dropping your brand new Nokia smartphone, spilling a cup of coffee on it, serving as your pet’s latest electronic toy or even bricking your device during a software update. As result the data stored on your Smartphone is thought to be lost forever.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with our friends at RecoverMySmartphone to bring you our “Save My Data” contest. The guys at RecoverMySmartphone are experts at recovering data from broken or bricked smartphones. They can have the data recovered or even copied to another device.
Up for grabs is their recovery service of a bricked or damaged Smartphone, each valued at a cool $249.97 (3 of them to be exact.)
How to enter? Simply leave a comment telling us and RecoverMySmartphone your smartphone horror stories. Dropped your smartphone it in the toilet, forgot it just after buying it? Exploding battery? Anything from damage to your device, getting lost or stolen, just share your stories with us! The top 3 stories will be able to take advantage of their recovery service if and when disaster strikes.
The contest ends at Midnight on the 28th of January and the winners will be announced on the 29th. Good luck!

Hi,
My prior purchase to my NOKIA N900 was NOKIA E71 which i had purchased with nokia warranty. The phone while charging suddenly got restarted and the battery had heated up so i took it to the nearest nokia care center for checkup and they wiped out my entire data and i had to reinstall all the applications which i had downloaded in a month’s time as it was a brand new phone and i got my phone after 2 months back.
But i was lucky that i had backed up my data prior to giving it to nokia care centering i.e contacts, etc but what if my phone dint started then i guess i would have definetely approached RecoverMySmartphone Guys for help in recovering my important data back.
well i droped my 2 day old nokia n900 in the toilet! i sent it into nokia to see if i could pay for a repair and they wont fix it. the phone does still work but has no wifi, battery drains really quick, and there seems to be a usb issue. i could buy another n900 but after owning it for the 2 days i felt its not worth buying another. great browser and features but whats the point of everything if you cant turn them on because your worried about your battery life.
