As the Nokia Sports Tracker closed its doors, the new non-Nokia Sports Tracking Technologies opened to our disappointment supporting only Symbian Nokia devices. The popular application has been a hit on Symbian, but it puzzles us why there’s no support for the flagship N900. Sports Tracker isn’t the only service to leave N900 owners in the dark, Nokia’s own OVI Maps and OVI Contacts, just to name a few, have yet to give the N900 their blessings.
All is not lost as the N900 has the eCoach application which has most of the Sports Tracker functionality, including uploading to a service called Heia Heia. However, we would love to see Sports Tracker on N900 and or that eCoach could upload to the service.
Would you like to see some N900 love from the new Sports Tracker?

I’d like to see some N900 love full stop. I’m going to be looking at the WinMo7 phones and Android later in the year and then abandoning Nokia.
Nokia has abandoned the N900 and Maemo 5….hence they are not bothering to code apps for it anymore, rather focusing on their next OS, MeeGo.
And while it would be nice if the Sportstracker devs would code for Maemo 5…they would be almost wasting their time as I notice the new Sportstracker website requires Adobe Flash Player 10….which is another app the N900 was initially promised, but has not recieved….so you cant even view the Sportstracker website on an N900 anyway.
Nokia think always coming up with news operating systems is the answer….and then abandoning them for the next one…..Nokia have lost the plot.
@Nokia
Come on Nokia, you can’t let all us N900 users down. Even if it is not a commercially viable you should be looking after us… I am not alone and this really is not fair.
Of course Nokia can leave us N900 users down. They have a track record of leaving their users down.
And now they think Microsoft will be the answer, while totally missing the N900 user base who instead moves to other manufacturers. After all, many who did select the N900 wanted a Linux mobile which is on the oposite end of the scale from Windows Mobile 7.
Alas, the eChoach program isn’t nearly as good as the Sports Tracker program
